Credits and Refund Policy

This policy explains how credits work in Madwackd Studio™ and when you can get credits or money back. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. How credits work

Credits are bought in advance in U.S. dollars (USD) through Stripe. There are no free generations.
Before every render, we show you a quote in credits. Credits are only used after you approve the quote.

Credits cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash except as stated below.

2. Technical failures are refunded automatically

If a render you approved fails because our AI provider (Google) returns a technical error and no video is produced, the credits for that render are returned to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask. You will see the returned credits in your account history. The same applies if the provider never accepts the render.

Refunds for technical failures are returned as credits, not as money back to your card.
If a render is still running long after it normally would, we review it. If no video was produced, we return the credits.

3. Safety blocks are not refunded

Every prompt is checked by our safety pre-screen before anything is sent to the AI provider. A prompt our pre-screen blocks is refused before any credits are used, so it costs nothing.

If a prompt passes our pre-screen but the provider's safety filter blocks the finished video, the credits for that render are not refunded, because the request broke our Acceptable Use Policy.
Three safety blocks within 24 hours pauses the account until we review it.

4. Completed renders are non-refundable

AI output varies, and a finished render uses real computing cost. Credits used on a render that completed and was delivered are not refundable, including when you don't like the result. That's why the studio offers low-cost, low-resolution 4-second previews before a full render. If a delivered file won't open or download, contact us within 7 days through the contact form and we will re-deliver it.

5. Prepaid credits only

Every render needs enough prepaid credits and a quote you confirm. Your balance can never go below zero.
There are no free generations and no free re-render credits.

6. Unused purchased credits

If you bought a credit pack and have not used any credits from that pack, you can ask for a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days of purchase. To ask, use the contact form on our website and choose "Refund request." Refunds are sent through Stripe and usually appear in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

Once any credit from a pack is used, that pack is no longer eligible for a cash refund.
Bonus or promotional credits have no cash value and are not refundable.
After 14 days, unused purchased credits are not refundable except where the law requires otherwise or under Section 8.

7. Producer and done-for-you services

Human producer services and done-for-you products (such as Ad in a Day, Launch Pack, Monthly Ad Engine and Video Press Release) are priced on our pricing page or in a separate written quote. That quote states the deposit, milestones and any refund terms for that project. If a producer quote is silent, work not yet started is refundable and work already delivered is not.

8. If we close your account or end the Service

If we close your account without cause, or stop offering the Service, we will refund your unused purchased credits to your original payment method. If we close your account because you broke our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, unused credits may be forfeited where the law allows.

9. Monthly plans and cancellation

Monthly plans (Starter, Pro, Business, Agency and White-Label) renew automatically each month until you cancel, and add that plan's credits when each monthly payment succeeds.
You can cancel anytime from Manage billing in the studio. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. The current month is not refunded.

10. Disputes and chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Most issues can be fixed quickly. If you file a chargeback, we may pause your account while the dispute is reviewed.

11. Delivery

Madwackd Studio is a digital service. Nothing is shipped. Credits appear in your account right after payment, and Outputs are delivered for download in your account when each render finishes.
